Katherine Chilcote

Katherine Chilcote works in ministry for students and young adults at Church of the Covenant. Katherine graduated with her MDIV from McCormick Theological Seminary in 2021 and is currently searching out ordination in the United Church of Christ. This past year she completed four units in Certified Pastoral Care training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation and the VA Medical Center with a focus in trauma informed care. Her first career was as a public mural artist and nonprofit director, working in many forms of ministry through beautification of public space. She also has worked as a painting professor in higher education and in Cleveland Public Schools. Katherine holds a BFA in painting from Indiana University, BA in Art history, and MFA in Painting from the New York Studio School. Her background in ministry has primarily been in pastoral care, homeless ministry and working within prison reentry centers providing arts ministry through the creation of public murals. Katherine partnered with multiple campus ministries in 2007 when creating the Reconciliation mural on the side of the Church of the Covenant. Katherine is excited to return to Church of the Covenant to focus on ministry for young adults.
