Shannon James

Shannon James has worked on the custodial staff of the Church of the Covenant since 2013. However, he is no stranger to the Covenant. Shannon grew up in the youth programs of the church when his parents, Pat and Ron James, started attending in the early 1980’s. He has volunteered in the kitchen when his father helped Willie Parker during many cooking events over the years.

Shannon graduated from Chanel High School and was a member of the Art Honor Society. He also attended Cuyahoga Community College. As a youth, Shannon participated in the Near West Community Theater for several years. His favorite role was in West Side Story.

Shannon worked in the food industry for many years. He was at the Appetite Cafe on Mayfield Road until it closed and soon after he started his employment at the Covenant.

Shannon, the proud uncle of Asha and Laila James Stewart, enjoys seeing this third generation of Covenant participants. He enjoys spending time with family and friends, watching movies and trying new foods at area restaurants. He feels blessed to be part of the Covenant.
