'Welcome Students' banner on the church lawn Our congregation welcomes all students to Cleveland and especially to the Church of the Covenant! We invite you to join us in the worship and service of God and we encourage you to become a participant in our family of faith.

This congregation seeks to be a caring, spiritual home for people from all walks of life, and to be involved in the vital personal and social issues of our day. Here you will find a diversity of religious opinion, an openness to questions of faith and practice, and a commitment of respect for one another as together we seek to discern God's purposes for our lives.

Conveniently located for students from Case Western Reserve University and the Institutes of Art and Music, the Church of the Covenant provides opportunities for the worship of God, fellowship and religious education:

  • In concert with the United Protestant Campus Ministries (UPCaM), the Covenant congregation invites students to explore the issues of faith and action in a non-judgmental atmosphere. UPCaM was named "Campus Ministry of the Year 2000" by the National Campus Ministry Association.

  • Attend events in the Interfaith Campus Center, a meeting and worship space located in Covenant's education wing.

  • Enjoy student fellowship dinners at the Covenant.

  • Participate in Christian Education for university students and other adults. Programs include seminars, book discussions, and "Friday Night at the Movies".

  • Volunteer in outreach activities including reading and writing for the elderly at nearby retirement homes, working on Habitat for Humanity projects, tutoring high school and elementary school students, helping with meal service at area hunger centers.

  • Attend Sunday worship services at Covenant, which are at 10 a.m. in the sanctuary.

  • Become a member of the Covenant choir, handbell choir or guitar ensemble.

  • Visit The Covenant Cache thrift shop for dorm/apartment furnishings and vintage clothing.

  • Use Covenant's Library as a quiet place to study.
