    PROVIDING DECENT HOUSING

Covenant's Habitat volunteers put their faith into action! Habitat for Humanity

The Church of the Covenant provides volunteers, food, and money toward building homes with Greater Cleveland Habitat for Humanity.

A team of Covenant volunteers works on-site one Saturday per month in collaboration with other congregations. They not only build homes--they're building interfaith connections, strengthening neighborhoods, and changing lives!
Helpers are needed for the new Habitat for Humanity House. Habitat has the foundation completed on the new house on E. 110th Street. They are now ready to do the framing and helpers are needed. Covenant's day to work on the Habitat house will be on the second Tuesday of each month from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. If you have any questions, please contact Mildred at 216-421-0482.

Family Promise of Greater Cleveland (formerly New Life Community)

Family Promise of Greater Cleveland is a faith-based, interdenominational, non-profit organization whose mission is to empower persons in homeless, jobless families to make the transition to independence and self-sufficiency.

This shelter, which is located in the former St. Cecilia Catholic School on Kinsman Road, is an apartment-style housing complex that is a home where single parents and their children can stay for up to four months.

Volunteer opportunities include teaching the residents money management or computer skills, helping them prepare for job interviews or find apartments, tutoring the children, and preparing rooms for new families.
